Due to the efforts of WPWP fellows and faculty from the School of Education, the WPWP has developed a list of exciting goals and implementation plans for the next year. These plans include rich opportunities for leadership, professional development, and inquiry. If you have not done so already, please take a few minutes to complete the WPWP Fellows Questionnaire 2010. These questions have been drafted by WPWP fellows. They are designed with fellows in mind.

  • The Summer Institute 2010 will run from July 6-30 Please encourage your excellent colleagues to apply. An official nomination from you will serve as a letter of recommendation.

 

  • NEW: Do you want to be an active Teacher Consultant with WPWP providing professional development services to teachers? Click here to let us know your interests.

 

  • For the latest Bulletin, click the Publications link in the sidebar on the left side of this page.

 

  • The Pennsylvania Writing Project Network is publishing a collection of narrative lesson plans written by experienced teacher consultants. Do you have one to submit? Details.

 

 

 

  • Contribute to WPWP scholarship funds. Help to provide scholarships to students with financial need. We cover tuition and provide bus tickets when needed. This year fifty young writers received a total of $13,805 in scholarships. Thank you for your help.

 

  • Calls for Teacher Consultants: If you are interested in becoming an active teacher consultant in professional development services being planned for August and the 2009-2010 school year, contact Daniela Buccilli.

 

 

  • Visit the NWP website for information about conferences and other professional development opportunities and resources.

 

  • Tell WPWP and NWP about your Awards and Accolades. See announcements of recent accomplishments, publications, awards of WPWP Fellows. Have you received National Board certification? Published professional or personal writing? Received a teaching honor?

 

  • Forms you may need. Includes conference travel, reimbursement for WPWP expenses, participation data sheets and others.
